PlatePad ("the app") is developed by Cell Kulture Co. This policy explains what data the app collects. The short version: none.
PlatePad does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. The app has no user accounts, no login, and no backend — it does not connect to the internet for any purpose related to your data.
All information you enter into PlatePad — plate names, well treatments, notes, timers, and settings — is stored only on your device, using standard on-device storage. This data is never transmitted anywhere. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
PlatePad uses your device's local notification system to alert you when a timer you started finishes. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any external notification service or server.
PlatePad lets you export a plate's data as a CSV file using your device's built-in share sheet. This is an action you initiate yourself — the app does not automatically send, upload, or share this data with anyone. Where that exported file goes is entirely up to you and the destination you choose (for example, Mail, Files, or a third-party app you select).
PlatePad does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind. No data is shared with third parties because no data ever leaves your device.
PlatePad does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that involves data leaving your device — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect that change.
